The burros, goats, horses and Rags the sheep who were impounded from a Boone County farm along with 90 dogs are now HOME.
Yesterday the owner voluntarily signed over the ownership to HAHS. After some extensive farrier rehabilitation, veterinary care, good feed and a clean place to sleep, most of these 21 animals are now available for adoption. The worst burro has found a wonderful home already where trimming every 3 weeks is not a problem. Many goats and the sheep are also spoken for.
Four other horses were returned to one of the offenders as directed by a court order.
