Rod Stewart and Maggie Mae Rock the Horse World

This isn't the Rod Stewart you're thinking of.  This Rod Stewart is a twelve-year-old miniature stallion found running loose in Will County, along with Maggie Mae, a five-year-old Belgian mare, and two other miniature horses.  South Suburban Humane Society rounded them up and brought them back to their home, only to discover that conditions here didn't meet the minimum standards under Illinois law.

Thankfully, the horses' owner relinquished them to SSHS, who subsequently turned two of them--Rod and Maggie--over to HAHS for care.  Rod was gelded as soon as he recuperated from neglect, and now the both of them are fine-tuning their ground manners with the help of the HAHS staff while awaiting adoption.
