Donations to HAHS

Question
We recently sold our horse and have a lot of leftover equipment that the buyer didn’t need. It’s all fairly new. Can you use it?

Answer
If the equipment (tack, brushes, buckets etc) is clean and in good working order, please call our office and let our staff members know when you would like to drop off the items at the HAHS farm. If you wish, you can fill out a form to make your donation tax-deductible.

While we are always happy to accept tack items, we are especially on the look-out during fall and winter. This way we have many more items to offer during our annual Tack & Craft Sale in the spring of each year.

Question
I would like to include HAHS as a beneficiary in my will. How do I do that?

Answer
You need to visit with an estate attorney. This person is usually familiar with a source of means so that a person can provide for others in the event of his or her death. Attorneys keep up with changes in the tax laws that affect estate planning.
Once you are comfortable with your estate planning choices and your attorney drafts the documents, it is time to let us know. Sending us a copy of your will, trust or planned charitable gift, helps with our long-range financial planning.
